Small White Bread Loaf
A simple homemade white bread loaf made with flour, salt, yeast, and water. This is a small loaf recipe that is easy to mix, knead by hand, and bake.
Ingredients
- 300g white flour
- 4g salt
- 3g dry yeast
- 200g water
Instructions
- Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl: white flour, salt, and dry yeast.
- Add the water and mix everything together until a dough forms.
- Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
- Knead the dough by hand for 15 seconds.
- Let the dough rest for another 10 minutes.
- Repeat the 15-second knead and 10-minute rest process 3 more times.
- After the final knead, let the dough sit for 1 hour so it can rise.
- After 1 hour, preheat the oven to 475°F, or as high as your oven will go.
- Grease a small bread pan.
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it into the greased pan.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until the loaf is golden brown.
- Let the bread cool before slicing.
Notes
This is a basic small white bread loaf. The outside should become golden brown, and the loaf should sound slightly hollow when tapped after baking.
